Safest Place on a Plane!

What is the best safest place to sit on a plane? The chances of having an airplane crash are very remote and it is more risky to travel by car than to use the commercial air transport service. Currently the air safety measures are very high and you can have the confidence to travel calmly to any part of the world as these events are so strange and isolated that surely we will never be involved in any incident of these.
But despite the safety and low chances of having an air crash, many people ask themselves the question, " What is the safest place to sit on the plane?” and “Which seat should I use to go on the flight safer?”. About this we will deepen so that you have a new vision about the probability of risk in each part of the plane.

What is the safest seat?
This question and the previous ones were answered by watching a Discovery Channel show about a plane crash in 2000 where a Singapore Airlines plane crashed in a typhoon that sadly claimed the lives of 83 people.

One of the survivors is interviewed along with several experts and the place where this passenger sat was vital to ensure his life and not have the same fate as the other fatalities.
More details about this accident will not be given, but we will focus on this passenger named Francois Parent who by the type of accident and his seat in the penultimate row (back) next to the corridor, served as an advantage to survive, since it Would have been sitting in the middle of the plane, would have suffered the same fate of all the passengers who died burned because of the thousands of liters of gasoline that the aircraft carried.
Instead, if he had gone in the front (first class) he would not have seen the cloud of fire approaching him from behind and would have suffered serious wounds, perhaps he might also have died.

But because of the type of plane crash, Mr. Francois, sitting at the back of the plane and along the aisle, was able to avoid the flames and move quickly to the emergency exit.

Odds of surviving an accident on the track
If we talk about probabilities, according to some statistics we can divide the plane into three parts: the seats in front, the middle seats and the seats in the part Rear. The probability of surviving an accident is different in each of these sections.

In the front section the odds of surviving are 49%, the lowest of the three sections; In the wing section seats (the middle part of the plane) the probability of survival is 56%, 7% more than the front and as the rear of the plane, it allows a survival probability of 69% to Because sometimes the rear part is detached from the body of the airplane and is further away from the wings, where much of the fuel is found.

It should also be remembered that most air accidents occur at the time of landing or takeoff. Many experts believe sitting in the five rows closest to the exit increases the likelihood of being unharmed in an accident.

Of course, we recommend not worrying and feeling afraid when traveling, but certainly these safety tips to choose a good seat are very interesting and put into practice will be no problem.

Final Note:  We remember that we are only counting what is explained in the program and the probabilities offered in it; each one will decide in his / her discretion which part of the aircraft to choose to travel. This case is about an accident in specific and that fulfills specific conditions.
